2026 Pinewood Derby

2026 Pinewood Derby

Pack 140 Cub Scouts will race their handcrafted speed machines down the track in one of our most exciting traditions of the year — the Pinewood Derby!

Each Cub has designed, shaped, sanded, painted, and tuned their car in hopes of taking home glory.

We’ll award trophies for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place — but that’s not all… We’ll also celebrate creativity with a Best in Show award for the most eye-catching design of the day!

This is more than just a race.

The Pinewood Derby builds:

Patience

Craftsmanship

Good sportsmanship

And a whole lot of Pack pride

Families are encouraged to come cheer, celebrate, and enjoy the excitement together.

Let’s see who takes the checkered flag in 2026!

Check in will begin at 12:30, races to start after all qualifying vehicles have been checked in.

Rules & Regs

Pack 140 is where kids grow into leaders—one fun challenge at a time.

We build Pinewood cars, roast marshmallows, help our neighbors, and practice being kind, brave, and helpful every step of the way. Cub Scouts is where kids make friends, try new things, and learn to lead—together with caring leaders and involved families at First United Methodist Church in Monett.
